Since you asked …

Why can I only contact you by phone?

The best way to get in touch with us is by phone. It might seem a bit old-fashioned that you can’t make appointments or other enquiries via our website, Facebook or email. However, our staff are always busy doing what they do best: providing veterinary care. This means that our website, Facebook page and email are not continuously monitored. If you send time-critical information via Facebook or email it may not be seen for many hours. For this reason, you should not use these methods to contact us about your sick pet. Please call us so that we can help you promptly.

Can you treat my animal without seeing it in person?

We sometimes receive requests for us to give professional opinions, dispense medication or provide other veterinary services without clients and their animals attending the clinic. However, vets have professional, ethical and legal obligations regarding their services and prescribing medication. This means that, in almost all cases, we must physically examine the animal to ensure that nothing is overlooked. If you are unable to come to the clinic, please call us to discuss the available options for treatment and services.

Do you offer an after-hours emergency service?

We do not offer an after-hours emergency service. The after-hours message on (03) 9870 0303 gives details of after-hours emergency veterinary clinics.

Why do you sometimes run late?

We do our very best to run on time for all our appointments. However, sometimes animals come to us unexpectedly as a result of accidents or life-threatening emergencies. We must treat these animals as a matter of priority, which means that we may not always be able to see you and your animal at your appointed time. We ask for your patience and understanding when this happens.  Please remember that we would give your animal the same priority if you were in the same situation.

What type of payments do you accept?

We accept cash payments, eftpos and all major credit cards. We do not accept personal cheques.

We do not offer credit. All accounts must be paid in full on the day of service.
